Tell me this, though. I can buy a Dell PC and I can run Windows, Linux

NO PROBLEM. Can I do that with a Mac?

 Yes.

Heh. About as easily as running Flash on an iPad, I guess.

There's an APP for that...

The ability to run Windows, DOS and Linux on Intel Macs has been commonplace for years. I run Windows on my Macs every day - but I prefer to use OS-X, as it takes full advantage of the Mac platform, is VERY stable, and far less vulnerable to viruses and the rest of the attacks that plague Windows PCs.

Why would someone pay a little more for a Mac just to run another OS that you can install on cheap commodity PCs?

Even the four year old article you cited answers this question. This developer WANTS a machine that he can use to test across multiple OSes, and WANTs to run OS-X to take advantage of applications that add value to what he does.

Craig
