Unfortunately no. Not because I like soccer (I don't), but because we could not find a single place in town that had a decoder. :-( In this lab we have only the HD satellite receiver, not UPC cable. D: Ah, I thought the final was on, when people mentioned they wanted to see the match Saturdaynight, so guess how much I like football;-). Such irony, even at applied technologies they couldn't apply the Philips HD box, LOL. > Sounds like the Let it Wave folks from France are doing something simillar > (as you say there is no framerate adapation going from 25 to 50 frames a > second). As the man said: "we look in the spatial-temporal environment for any pixels that fit". There is no explicit motion estimation, but if you're looking for contours in 3D space then the use of motion must be implicit. Right ? D: Ah, the Axon product manager told a local web forum that they do pure (single) field de-interlacing. The next generation box would be based on a Terranex core, but in this type of application even the motion adaptive Teranex cores would (have to) revert to pure single field de-interlacing (which in this case means using the 50 fields to costruct 50 frames).
