There are a wide range of streaming devices and TVs that support the Apple TV
App:

And there are a number of TVs that support AirPlay 2, which allows the TV to

So LG is introducing a handful of TVs with ATSC 3.0 capability - clearly this
requires some additional hardware...
Meanwhile, with nothing but a software upgrade, LG is adding support for the
Apple TV streaming service to tens of millions of EXISTING TVs...
