False. I can provide you with a design that 
will use the training signal to instantly train the
equalizer, and then retain training for as long 
as desired. By instantly I mean just that: you can
turn
on just before a training interval occurs, and as soon
as it is over the data will be coming in OK. No
1 sec or even 1/2 second for training. This system
does, of course, track dynamic multipath, better 
than  8K  COFDM does and equal to 2K.
