As usual you missed the forrect for the trees... This article has virtually nothing to do with watching TV on an iPAD or iPhone.It was telling us that these devices are a key to enabling new applications on the big screen in the family room - something I have been predicting for years.
And yes, this is much bigger than Apple - they are just showing the way.The key here is creating an App culture on the big screen and using your mobile devices (via Airplay) as a content source and remote control.
