There are no perfect answers but there are better solutions.

Usually the market can sort them out. When government gets in the way
it can take longer.

I was championing informed decisions, rather than superficial
decalarations of one scheme being all great or all bad. Gratuitous
objections, just like gratuitous hype, are always wrong.

Among the clueless, ATM was ridiculously hyped up in the early days, and
then equally ridiculously demonized after that. And all because those
whose business it was to learn the real issues could not bring
themselves to do so.
