Similar to what happened to DAT. While this is certainly true, the real problem is that consumers don’t care enough to pay more since the quality is good enough. The CD and DVD are dead. Music moved to the Internet a long time ago, and most people have no idea what the quality of the streams they listen to is, nor do they care.
