Too far a leap Bert…

The article talked about what people rate doing TODAY with second screens while
"watching" TV. I would add, that people will probably continue to use these
second screens for other activities while the TV is on. This is the reality of
TV today - in many, if not most cases, TV is background noise for other
activities.

This has nothing to do with using second screens as remote controls for the TV.
There are a handful of apps that can be used to control a handful of new TVs,
but the "killer app" does not exist….yet.

Bottom line, we are arguing about the future of remote controls. Clearly there
will be many variations on the theme, but the notion that second screens will
be come remotes and be used with a wide range of apps that use the big screen
is already happening.

What is not happening is people sitting down to watch TV and giving it their
full attention.

And interactive TV is still a dead end - as it has been for decades.

Craig
