Because you are inferring things from these articles that are not happening.

We'll see what these new entrants are able to negotiate. 

My educated guess is that these new OTT services will offer access to both live 
streams and VOD libraries of the content in the bundle. I do not expect 
subscribers to be able to choose channels/libraries on an ala carte basis.
