has also begun to offer Internet service WITHOUT the TVE model. That is,

formula. Quoting on this exact point:
"The live streaming service is now expanded to include residents of
apartments, condominiums and town homes who are not receiving DirecTV
service, or customers who were not able to install a DirecTV dish due to an
obstruction or other restriction."
Dish and DirecTV have both managed to navigate beyond the TVE model.

A premium add on sports package that Direct TV is paying $1.5 billion a year
for, available ONLY from DirecTV, is now available to stream only for the
relatively small number of consumers incapable of accessing the DBS service.
That's a breakthrough?
