So hw are these people accessing Netflix, Amazon, et al?
Homes are still going to rely on broadband, even of it is wireless. The telcos
will bundle to capture share from the cable companies. Existing LTE service
already delivers mobility for all of the content I pay for, as well as ad
supported services.
Antenna and an ATSC 3.0 tuner are unnecessary if broadcasters just move to the
same technologies that are widely deployed in support of ITT service like
Netflix, Hulu etc. I already get my local Fox affiliate via DirecT Now. The
other stations could become part of the VMVPD bundles in a matter of weeks.
Sinclair just launched an OTT serviceā¦that should tell you something...

With 5G you would have to get SIM card for your TV and have Telecom providers
create an affordable plan... On another hand if ATSC 3.0 can reach TV without
special antenna (even Schubin tested indoor Antenna) and TV GUI integrates
its all seamlessly with other services such as Netflix and Amazon it will be
used on its merits such as free local sports and news content

Hardly relevant.
You are an industry guru who was VERY active in testing and writing about
ATSC receivers.
To be fair I was also writing about the ATSC transition and standard; I was
critical of the receiver mandate and had no ability to test receivers until
late in the transition, when our local stations finally met their obligation
to broadcast a digital signal.
By then I had already replaced my first HDTV (without ATSC receiver). I
replaced it with a DLP HDTV that did have a receiver. I tested it with an
antenna and found it almost unusable - something you also experienced with
early ATSC receivers. My problem is complicated by the fact that the
transmitters are north, west and south of me. Your problem was multipath...
None of this invalidates what I wrote. The vast majority of ATSC receivers
were never used, as is the case today.

Craig
