Thanks for the first-hand update, Prin. I've read in some blogs that London will get an early taste of HD even before digital switch-over, since DSO won't happen until 2012 in London, so they will get a "low power" Mux B from Crystal Palace at first. Something like 2 December 2009. Not sure what they call low power and high power, but I'm sure it's all low power than what we have on this side. > In some areas, the initial rollout of the DTT HD > service will occur before he switch to high power DTT, > so in those areas [eg London] there will be 5 high > power analogue, 6 low power DTT + the HD service. Over here, when analog went off, I got more digital channels right off the bat, although I also initially lost a few in all the fuss (mostly due to them going low power VHF, which won't be a problem there). I also think I have noticed a reception pattern. I get the most glitches, from the more marginal multiplexes, during the month of June and maybe even the first half of July. My guess is that this is when the trees have all their leaves fully grown, and the leaves have the most moisture. After that, reception improves again, as the leaves start to dry out some, and eventually fall off. Just a guess. Seems to have happened every year since I got DTT. Probably also affected analog, but it was harder to notice.
