Maybe this can be viewed as more evidence. Whether you get your TV as digital
packets over a dedicated RF channel, or similar digital packets routed through
a mesh network, it won't make much difference. Live streams are, evidently,
still in demand.

YouTube goes live

YouTube has announced the roll-out of its live streaming service. YouTube Live
will integrate live streaming capabilities and discovery tools directly into
the YouTube platform.

Users will be able to visit a YouTube Live browse page to see the latest live
events on YouTube and add events to their calendar. YouTube Live also provides
notifications of upcoming live streams on users' customized homepages.

YouTube have also started rolling out a live streaming beta platform, which
will allow certain partners to stream live content on YouTube.

YouTube has previously live streamed concerts, sporting events and interviews,
but primarily on a one-off basis.
