OCMR MEMBERS:
The recent revisions of our By-laws added reference to
another document, the PPM.
It is time to provide that document to members for comment.
The board would appreciate your comments, send them to Harry,
prior to our February member meeting.

The PPM document is only THREE pages.
Why do we need the PPM?
Over the past 6 years, I've seen how difficult
and time consuming it was to change the By-laws.
Furthermore, our club has nearly 50 years of history
that should be preserved, but where?
The PPM consists of four segments, SCOPE documents:
Records, Standards, Policies, and Procedures.
The first two pages define these categories,
call how they become part of the PPM,
and include a system of naming them.
The last page provides an Index for what goes where.
You will find that the effort to gather all these documents is significant.
But that's why I remained VP, to collect the PPM documents
and build a history of OCMR.
Many of these historical items have been found
and can now be "named" and added to a digital history of OCMR.
As for the By-laws, we may now be able to write a Policy or Procedure
instead of revising the By-laws.
The PPM will also serve as a repository when we change
things such as dues, the amount the EBoard is able to spend, etc.
It will be infinitely easier to add to or revise the PPM,
than to change the By-laws.
