Errata for The Buccaneers (I _will_ learn how to spell that someday) of Shadaki:

(er) Equipment: the total sum of -> the number of [??]

agreed

(er) Equipment: (Special Items) -> (Special Item) [cf. (Backpack Item)]
(er) Equipment [x5]: (Weapons) -> (Weapon) [cf. (Backpack Item)]

OK as-is (cf. discussion with 21votm)

(er) 1: well-treated [Is this OK?]

House rules would say it should be "well treated".

(er) 2, 107: hovering to and fro -> moving to and fro

While we may take "hover" to mean remain stationary, many of the
definitions that I found mentioned fluttering. One even said "To hang
about; to move to and fro near a place, threateningly, watchfully, or
irresolutely."

OK as-is.

(er) 3: power word -> word of power

The spell is called "Power Word" in the Discipline description. If
anything, perhaps we should capitalize this, though that would
probably look funny next to "Gloar!".

OK as-is.

(er)    5, 95, 121, 157, 249, 271:      a patrol...come -> a patrol...comes

OK as-is.

(er)    5, 32 [x2], 52 [x3], 95, 121, 148 [x2], 157, 228, 249, 258 [x2],
271, 330, 345:  city watch -> City Watch

I don't think that this is like the Border Rangers or something. It's
seems more generic like the "city merchants".

I vote leave as-is.

(er)    7, 8 [x4], 18, 57 [x7], 60 [x2], 61 [x2], 66, 71 [x2], 83 [x3],
97 [x3], 98, 110, 114, 116, 138, 141, 156 [x3], 164 [x5], 200 [x3],
201, 206, 211 [x2], 223, 232, 259, 264, 275, 278 [x3], 295, 300 [x2],
341[x2]:        Nobel[s] -> Noble[s]

agreed

(er)    8:      well-fed [OK?]

well fed

(er)    30 [x2], 232 [x2], 264: an ale -> a pint of ale [??]

This doesn't tweak my idiom violation meter. "Go to the cooler and
grab a beer." :)

OK as-is.

(er)    40, 237, 305:   icy cold -> icy-cold [??]

agreed

(er) 45: (If you wish to keep this key, record it on your Action Chart
as a Backpack Item.) [Move this to the end of the section]

I think I see what the issue is, but this makes most sense to me where it is.

(er) 110: eastern quarter -> Eastern Quarter

Looks generic, not a proper name.

OK as-is.

(er) 179: slow down -> slows down

OK as-is.

(er)    206 [x2]:       tackroom -> taproom [??]

Tack as in equipment for riding a horse?

(er) 207, 222: (You are unarmed: ignore all weapon bonuses) -> [Phrase
more consistently with other sections.]

How so?

(er)    207, 222:       bonuses). -> bonuses.)

The correction is actually

bonuses) -> bonuses.)

agreed

(er) 216, 298: east quarter -> Eastern Quarter

OK as-is.

(er) 225: 10,000 -> ten thousand [as per JD's original text]

I don't know, I kind of like it better the way it was published. Any
particular reason for this?

(er)    253:    . . .and -> And

agreed

(er) 258: training closer -> getting closer

This is a bit unusual. I get the sense that he's using it in: "to
bring to bear on some object; point, aim, or direct, as a firearm,
camera, telescope, or eye". I lean toward leaving it as-is.

(er) 264: the line...that are -> the line...that is [SO: Or, the line
of ships that are moored -> the line of ships moored]

I think it would read better as "the line of ships moored" however it
works as it is. The phrase "that are moored..." modifies "ships" not
"line".

(er)    264:    o'moved -> o' moved

agreed

(er) 270: to be indulged -> to be indulged in

agreed

(er)    280:    o'ruffled -> o' ruffled

agreed

(er) 290: city guards -> City Guards [??]

It seems generic like "city watch" above. OK as-is.

(er) 291: MS5054 [Is this date for Shasarak's demise correct?]

Good question. I don't remember much time keeping in Grey Star, but
it's worth a look.

(er) 300: northern quarter -> Northern Quarter

OK as-is.

(er)    308:    Fish hooks (3) -> 3 Fish Hooks

Agreed, though hooks is already capitalized.

(ft) 269: Double Mindblast bonuses as well?

agreed

(ft) 327: [SD: (From 173) Probably want to add a footnote telling the
reader to deduct 1 ENDURANCE point for using Kai-surge. I've seen this
before in LW23 (where the player uses Kai-surge on the
Inquisitor-major to force him to stop blowing his hunting horn).]

Joe has a lot of discretion to be inconsistent. :) This also reminds
me of the situation in beginning of Fire on the Water where Lone Wolf
proves his identity to the impostor. Lone Wolf achieves a similar
effect with no loss of EP. There's no clear evidence that this use of
mindforce requires a loss of EP. Since this isn't a stated rule, it's
up to Joe to decide.
