Hi, fellow Lone Wolf fans.

This request is a bit 'out there', so I'm not expecting a lot of response, but does anyone out there have any experience of creating fonts? And if so, could you find it in your heart(s) to donate a little time to a Project Aon side-project (a side-Project Aon) I'm doing some R&D into?

Here's the thing: It would be useful to have a font (or fonts) based on the text used on the maps for the Lone Wolf books, particularly for Book 1, Books 3-6, Book 7, Book 8, and Book 21. The reason for this is that we don't have access to the original artwork for these books, so we had to scan them in from the printed books, and the labels are a bit...difficult to read at times. If we could replace or overlay clearer labels onto them, they would look better. (If it would be helpful, then the 'font' used in Book 1 is the same as used in Books 3-6, only Books 3-6 are 'emboldened'.)

I've tested the theory out with the map for Book 3 (the easiest to edit!) and replaced the text with the closest font I had to Gary Chalk's writing, which was Comic Sans (yuck!). IMHO, it looks very good, and it a definite improvement. We can also move labels around to make them easier to read. Of course, the lettering is noticeably different to that used on the original image, which is a little distracting.

The SVG is here: <http://www.projectaon.org/staff/simon/Maps/LW03%20Map%20(Alt)%20(New%20Labels).svgz> (Warning! 6Mb download!)

A PNG output from this SVG is here: <http://www.projectaon.org/staff/simon/Maps/LW03%20Map%20%28Alt%29%20%28New%20Labels%29.png>

Feedback and help is definitely appreciated!
