Hi Iain

Simon, have any of the White Warlord pages been scanned yet? I've recently
found my copy
so could probably start scanning if needed. What would be the preferred
format, dpi,
etc?

The only things I have are:

* The text *only* for the rules
* The text of the end tables & charts.

Required still are

* char sheets
* title page logo
* all illustrations for the rules
* Numbered sections 1 - 285
* Text of Special Information Section X1 - X128

Generally, a 200dpi image would be fine, preferably a greyscale JPG or 2- or 16-colour PNG. I've got several template files set up already so I paste the scans (when received) as a separate background layer, eliminating a lot of the work of trying to edit the image, so I should be able to turn around the book in a fortnight or so after receiving the scans. Hopefully.

If you can help, Iain, it would be a major help to releasing all four of these books this year.

Hi all

Release Candidates are now available for the following three PDF files of the Combat Heroes series.

Although we cannot yet release Black Baron as we still require scans of White Warlord, I am making it available as it is essentially complete. Now might be a good time to begin a Comment Period on Emerald Enchanter and Scarlet Sorcerer, so if those of you with time would like to download the files and check them for problems, I would be appreciative of the feedback.

http://www.projectaon.org/staff/simon/CH1_BlackBaron.pdf (12.4Mb)

http://www.projectaon.org/staff/simon/CH2_EmeraldEnchanter.pdf (11.8Mb)
http://www.projectaon.org/staff/simon/CH2_ScarletSorcerer.pdf (11.7Mb)

I intend to implement any necessary fixes ASAP, and hope to have the full versions ready by next Saturday afternoon (GMT), providing there has been enough feedback.

Jon: one last License niggle that I fixed for the CH books is that we give Gary Chalk two different years (c) on the LWPPB, text 1986 and illustrations 1987; both should be 1987.

Let the playtesting commence! ^_^
