I offered you to scan in the Fall of Blood Mountain, but I had some difficulties, so
I write again. I have an Canon SmartBase MPC190 Printer/Scanner but the Standard
Software doesn´t allow to scan in text files, only pictures.
I looked in the Internet and found out, that I need a special OCR Software that he can recognize the text. And so I want to ask if you could tell me where I can get this for free. greetings paul

Hi Paul

Sorry this response took so long.

I recommended this software a few years ago in an E-mail to Project Aon: <http://www.download.com/3000-2070-10152129.html?tag=lst-3-5>. Ignore the cost information; the OCR software for printed text is freeware, you only have to pay the (extortionate) license fee if you want to recognise handwriting.

It's not great software, but as long as you recognise only one page at a time it should work OK.

Hope it helps!
