The idea behind the errata list is that I should be able to
reconstruct the original edition from the list. Granted that isn't
strictly true with how we have it, but that is the idea.

In what ways would you like it to be more generic? The only reason
that we have it this way is because it has been suitable to our needs
so far. Making it look like HTML serves two purposes: primarily to
make it easy to remember for all the HTML monkeys (including myself)
who work on it, and to make the translation to HTML via XSL more
straightforward.

Good work on this, BTW. I used to have a utility to find non-ASCII
characters in the source. I wonder where it's gotten to. Should be
able to use grep though.

I haven't had much experience with the web CVS interface. I hope that
it allows you to merge changes and resolve version conflicts. That's
the whole point of CVS, after all. :)

Those are the issues that really should be discussed prior to changes.
