Here's a little blurb giving some context on the Legends (borrowing a few
bits and pieces from contemporary LW Club Newsletter spiels), see what you
think!
I haven't done any bio on John Grant, maybe someone else can have a go at
that.

In 1989, after five heady years of winning awards and topping the
bestseller lists, the original run of Lone Wolf gamebooks had seemingly
come to an end with the completion of the 'Magnakai' series. Lone Wolf had
found the Lorestones, destroyed the Darklords and avenged his slain Kai
Lord brethren... But were the fans satisfied? No! Joe Dever and his
publishers were swamped by letters from around the world, urging them to
continue the story!
Joe's first response was to team up with author John Grant, and embark with
him on a series of novelisations of the Lone Wolf gamebooks, the 'Legends
of Lone Wolf'. Over the next five years, twelve volumes of the Legends
would emerge, hugely expanding on the stories readers had previously only
experienced in the second person through Lone Wolf's eyes. Background
events and characters only before hinted at were now revealed in glorious
detail - Vonator's betrayal of his country and defection to the
Darklords... how the Book of Magnakai came to be lost... how Banedon came
by that skyship...and much more besides. Indeed, many fans were somewhat
surprised to learn that events behind the scenes were not always at all
what they had imagined them to be!

(Trying to be diplomatic at the end there! ;)
