Subject: LONE WOLF Translation and Free Distribution in Poland - is this
possible???
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear AON Project Members!
My email is probably highly uncommon, so better sit down before reading ;)
Since Feb 1st, 2009 I am the owner of small, one-man company, which profile is
really wide and prospective. In one word, ANTURU company is made to make
people's dreams come true! :) As a huge gamebook fan I started on making the
first huge gamebook portal for Polish fans (http://www.gryparagrafowe.pl) -
unfortunately, for now it's in Polish language only. I also made up a
free-of-charge pdf magazine about gamebooks - for all Polish fans who write
gamebooks on their own and write some assays or articles about it. At now me
and my fan-friends are gathering the best articles for the 1st issue of our zin
- it would be finished and distributed over the net in less than one month. Of
course, we plan add a gamebook to each issue and sometimes make special issues
with some special gamebooks - like thos by Joe Dever for example.
He's a legend here, in Poland. You must know that gamebooks came to Poland in
mid 80's and were very popular for few years, maybe a decade. Then, they went
forgiven. Ok, from time to time someone publishes a gamebook, but it's hard to
catch though of very small number of copies. In early 90's Highway Warrior
tetralogy was published in Poland and soon Lone Wolf cycle announced. And that
was all. Many gamebook fans dream of Lone Wolf published in Poland, so I
decided to do something with this.  We want to translate to Polish "Flight From
The Dark" (and then the other volumes of Lone Wolf cycle) and redistribute this
translation freely among Polish fans in pdf edition - with some original
drawings or (it it would be a big problem) with our own pictures.
What should I do to make it possible? I guess I must have Joe Dever's agreement
for the beginning - can you ask him in my name for this? It would be really a
very important event for Polish gamebook fans! And it would make much more fans
in here! We want to do translate it and distribute free of charge - for fans'
joy and our satisfaction of making important things for other people.
By the way, may I add AON Project's website link to our portal? And/or use your
logo or some banner (if you have one of course)?
I hope you can help me - me and thousands gamebook fans in Poland.
Hope to hear from you very soon.
Best Regards,
Andrzej Siedlecki
