Jon, is there any preference in releasing the larger files as ZIP archives or as
unarchived PDFs? Usually, the compression down to ZIP is negligible (e.g. the
LWPPB loses about 100k when zipped, from 13.4Mb -> 13.3Mb). This refers to the
three main LW forthcoming releases: The Lone Wolf Poster Painting Book, The
Magnamund Companion, and The Skull of Agarash. It will also refer to the
Calendar once it's done (it's on hold for a few days while I sort this lot out
;) ).
Looks like TMC will be a smaller filesize with lowered quality gfx, I'm afraid,
since the file now refuses to output properly if I use a low compression on the
graphics. Everything is fine except page 93, which always has the illustration
in front of the text in the PDF. I've altered the source file, but nothing
changes. So frustrating. :-\
We also still have on our servers the Lone Wolf Audiobook 1 ZIP file; should we
go ahead and release that as well? It's about 80Mb.
