Your proposal has answered most of the concerns that I would have, and
I believe that would also be true for all of the other volunteers at
Project Aon. One thing that you should be aware of is that we have a
single source XML file for each book. This is where we make any
changes. This single XML file is transformed into the other formats
that Project Aon publishes (only XHTML at present, but we are working
on adding PDF to that list). We never change those derived formats
manually. This system helps us avoid changing multiple different
copies of a text each time a change is required.

In the long run, it would be best if your project works within this
system. If you're not familiar with XSLT or a similar facility to
transform the XML file into what you need (and don't want to learn
this on top of PHP and MySQL), we can help with that portion.

Anything that will improve the experience of the visitors to the
projectaon.org website would be greatly appreciated. Please feel free
to go forward with your project.

You should probably join the Project Aon volunteers' list:

By joining the list you can keep abreast of the current goings-on and
ask for any help, if required.

For Sommerlund and the Kai!
