Gday,
I loved reading the lone wolf books back in primary school, and this site is a
great idea.
I would love to help out but believe I could be of more use to you technically
than as an editor or anything like that.
I am a programmer, and although I my job is developing operating systems, I'm
sure I could help out with any programs you use for editing/viewing/whatever.
I was interested in this quote, maybe I could help out a bit?
"The text files from the previous step are fed to a script that assembles them
into one big "preliminary" XML file, with markup based on the formatting of the
text file, and some general rules. The file does not yet adher completely to
our XML DTD."
Maybe I could take a look at the scripts and work out a way to improve them?
then again maybe I can't improve them.
Other than that I have also had some experience in writing applications for the
pocket pc platform, and should be able to create a handheld reader for the
books without too much trouble.
