Subject: Question about buying books
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I read up on Wikipedia that there are bonus adventures being written in
re-printed Lone Wolf Book
by Mongoose Publishing, apart from Flight from the Dark, which has been
re-written anyway. These
bonus adventures are: The Crown of King Alin IV, Vonotar's Web, Ruanon, The
Tomb of the Majhan,
The Key to the Future, The All Seeing One, Masquerade in Hikas, and 'The
Guildmaster's Hammer'.
What I want to know for certain, is which are the exact books that have these
adventures and
where exactly can I buy them to ensure I get them? Do they have to be
specifically 'Collector's
Edition' books? Do I have to buy them from exactly the same place where we can
buy the new
version of Flight from the Dark? Or if it's 'Mongoose publishing' I have to buy
them from, where
is the site that I can buy those from there? Another thing I want to know is,
there's only 8
bonus adventures currently scripted in Wikipedia. So does that mean that there
will still be more
bonus adventures for the remaining 11 books other than 'Flight from the Dark',
currently in the
Lone Wolf Series? Will there also be bonus adventures for the New Order series
aswell? That's all
I need clarification on. Thanks for your attention.
Hi Sergio
Thank you for your E-mail. We do try to respond to anyone who contacts Project
Aon.
Your questions are about the new editions of the Lone Wolf books by Mongoose Publishing. Project Aon has no connection with Mongoose, so we don't have any "insider knowledge" of the books. You would probably find better answers to your questions over on the official forum run by Mongoose Publishing: <http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=14>
A bonus mini-adventure appears in each book except for "Flight from the Dark", since that has been rewritten and expanded. Currently, only the hardback Collector's Editions are available, and they can be purchased directly from Mongoose Publishing via their website: <http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/home/series.php?qsSeries=24>
Mongoose do plan to release paperback editions of the books that can be bought from high street stockists, but they are having problems with distribution. They say they should have everything ready for the paperback editions by the end of the year. The paperback editions will contain all the materials from the Collector's Editions--revised text, new artwork, and bonus mini-adventures--but will be in paperback.
As for the New Order adventures, we won't know until Mongoose Publishing reveal it on their website. There are rumours that ALL of the Lone Wolf books save for the first and the last (Books 2-31) will have a bonus mini-adventure. Books 1 and 32 won't because they will have 550 numbered sections instead.
Probably you would find more complete answers on the Mongoose Publishing forums linked above, but I hope this answers some of your questions.
For Sommerlund and the Kai!
