I've run a quick test of OpenOffice's PDF exporting, using section headers and internal hyperlinks. The headers appear on the Bookmarks sidebar, and internal hyperlinks work fine. So it looks like this is an option that could be explored, 'cause I don't know about anyone else, but I sure don't have the money for Acrobat!

I'm endeavouring to re-edit the Combat Heroes books using the Open Office environment. When I tried opening The Magnamund Companion in open Office, there were too many errors incurred. (If anyone wants to try fixing all the errors and converting it to Open Office, and would like a copy of the 90Mb Word 2003 DOC file, and has some great idea on how to transfer a 90Mb file, contact me!) Hopefully, the CH books can be converted to OOO fairly easily; that'll make outputting them to PDF much easier/faster. Cheers!

(The Skull of Agarash worked perfectly, but LW_software crashes every 10 minutes or so during editing, so I gave up on that one.)

BTW, Tim, did you ever try contacting Jon Hare? If not, I plan to try knocking together a contact letter/E-mail for him tomorrow. If you did, I'll look at writing one for a different contact! ^_^

Jon: I noticed that the archives of mailing lists are all offline <http://www.projectaon.org/en/Sanctum/MailingLists>. Any chance of them coming back? Should they be converted to the wiki (with E-mail addresses removed, obviously)? What's the next job? When will 01HH be opened for editing?

I know, I know, every time I post you're all wondering what outlandish nonsense I'm going to come out with next. ;-) It's just that this evening and most of Monday (and also most of the rest of the World Cup) I'm going to have limited time to devote to PA, so I want to know where I can be most effective.

Only 19 more books to go, everyone (LW 18-28, FW1-4, CH1 -4)! ^__^
