I wouldn't ordinarily interrupt a comment period asking you to divert your attention, but you'll see why momentarily. Brian Williams' family contacted us recently with the sad news that he passed away unexpectedly on October 4. I have passed along our sincere condolences to his family. Please do not share this news beyond this list. I've made a memorial page on the website. Before we make the public announcement (probably to coincide with our publication of Rune War on Thursday), please offer suggestions on how to improve the memorial. I will be sharing this with his family. Is the skull too much or am I being hypersensitive? Is there a better illustration? 2) Would it be worthwhile to collect individual messages from fans to post to the website on a separate page?
Speaking purely personally, I think the skull is a little too much. I know that Brian illustrated lots of monsters and creepy things for the LW books, but as a memorial, perhaps it's not wholly appropriate. (100% imho, of course.)
As an alternative, maybe Gwynian from Dawn of the Dragons? <http://www.projectaon.org/test/en/xhtml/lw/18dotd/ill6.htm>
