third paragraph:
"echoing chorus of shrieks pierce the sky > echoing chorus of shrieks pierces
the sky" ?
I think grammatically it is permissible, if maybe not common, to treat the
"chorus of shrieks" as a plural, but this one jumped out at me multiple times
so I thought I'd flag it
