Right, let's try and get this finally fixed.
I originally proposed:
09tcof 48: "If you possess a Platinum Amulet, it does not reduce the damage
taken from this bolt of
magical fire."
09tcof 59: "If you possess a Platinum Amulet, it does not reduce the damage
taken from the scorching
heat of the fire."
11tpot 62: "If you possess a Platinum Amulet and do not possess the Magnakai
Disciplines of Nexus or
Huntmastery, you may not add 4 to the number you have picked."
11tpot 95: "If you possess a Platinum Amulet and do not possess the Magnakai
Disciplines of Nexus or
Huntmastery, you may not add 4 to the number you have picked."
11tpot 349: "If you possess a Platinum Amulet and do not possess the Magnakai
Disciplines of Nexus
or Huntmastery, you may not add 4 to the number you have picked."
Jon and David suggested:
"It is unclear whether a Platinum Amulet should protect you in this situation in lieu of the
Discipline of Nexus."
Jon also added:
"So the later amulets also protect against the cold. Perhaps we should rename
it."

New proposals:
07cd 15, 90: Platinum Amulet -> Platinum Kazan-Oud Amulet [??]
09tcof (48, 59): It is unclear whether a Platinum Amulet should protect you in this situation in
lieu of the Discipline of Nexus.
11tpot (62, 95, 349): These bonuses are not cumulative—if you possess both Disciplines, you may only
add 4 to the number you pick from the Random Number Table. It is unclear whether a Platinum Amulet
should protect you in this situation in lieu of the Discipline of Nexus.
Of course, it would be easier to add a note that the Amulet is taken from you along with your
Backpack by the rats at the end of Castle Death. ;-)

I hope we can come to a consensus and get this fixed so that we can do a swift re-release of Books
1-9 ASAP. Fans keep reporting issues that we've already fixed in XML, so it would be good to get
these fixes out to the public. And then on to Wolf's Bane. :-)
