The logic of concentration seems perfectly fine. I would argue, however,
that engaging in combat is not something you get to stop and wonder about
by default. So its more of a question of time consuming actions than
concentration. Many sections simply describe your encounter with your foe
and proceed to being resolved by combat. Take book 1 of LW for example,
when he is attacked by the thieves in the store in Holmgard. This is a
scene where you dont actualy get a chance to do anything before you are
struck and need to defend yourself. You could say that after that
preemptive strike you get the chance to take a single action out of combat
before moving on with the fight, but your foe will not likely wait for you
to complete your strategized concotion before striking you again.

Outside of combat sections, I dont see any trouble with taking multiple
potions and having their effects stack. But when you are facing a terrible
opponent that is hellbent on taking your life, taking your time to sip from
multiple flasks can be your downfall.

Sergio,
I don't believe there was ever any explicit mention made of this in the
rules or the Lone Wolf Club Newsletter, one way or the other.

Using common sense though, I would argue there's no reason why can't take
multiple doses of alether before combat.
There are various sources of alether in the books, from the berries
themselves, to potions, to "concentrated" potions, each giving
progressively higher bonuses - so that would suggest to me that a
"concentrated" potion (+4 CS) simply has more active ingredient in it than
a handful of the berries (+2 CS) - therefore, the concentrated potion has
"stacked up" the effects itself - so you could also stack up multiple
potions/berries?

In practice I've rarely done this myself, but I've certainly taken
multiple doses of Laumspur without a second thought!

Anyone else got an opinion?
David

Hello Project Aon.
Can you drink or ingest more than one Alether before a battle so that
their effects stack up?
