Good evening, and thank you for providing this information. All 3 options
have their merit. This appears to be about 13 years worth of unpaid dues, so
I’m curious why all of the sudden the change of heart to pay now. Also, could
we consider extending the installments over 2 years, with no additional penalty
for next year should all installments be made as agreed?
Times are tough, I get it, and I’m not an ogre, but I also don’t care to be
the punchline of the joke either. I’m okay with a reduced late fee fine, so #2
is good, or I’d even be ok with 1800, as a smaller round number, and there is
still a penalty, which seems like a decent compromise. To quote Thomas Sowell,
“There are no solutions, only tradeoffs”.
My apologies for the novel. I would need more info regarding our neighbor’s
circumstances to change my mind either way.
