Ok board
below e-mail
I guess we need to decide how we want to proceed. I will do my research and
bring a proposal to the board.

What I think we might want to think about is having a committee for this with
at least one board member on it.
So I will start to do some serous research.

Hi Debbie,

I’ve forwarded the idea up the chain to the head of programming, and she likes
the idea. She has talked to Andrew Chance, the library director.

And he likes the idea too. Spokane Public Library is interested in partnering
with the SAS to offer telescopes for checkout. So of course many details would
need to be worked out, I’m sure… The board would probably have to think this
through and decide whether and how to proceed.

You can consider me as the liaison at this point, between the library and the
SAS. If you have questions for the library, let me know. If you want to have a
meeting, let me know. This is my work email: cbakken@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx .

Thanks for thinking of us! Cathy

Cathy

I am wondering if the Spokane area Library's would be interested in

the Library Telescope program that started in New Hampshire and interest is now
spreading to different areas of the United States.

They started the program in 2008 I have attached a websites from different
areas. If you think this might be possible I will draft a letter to the library
of what we have planned. We have some excitement from a couple of board
members. I know we have a member that is a librarian up at the Sandpoint
library and I think they might be interested.
