I have paint that belongs to the club. I can come by Saturday, what time?

Subject: [SAS-BOD] Re: library telescope build meeting
To Steve's parallel note on re-scheduling - call me with your availability. I
expect to have this ready for testing this weekend. I have NOT downloaded the
instructions on how to mod the scope (glue down the parts that can come off)
yet. I'd like some help with that. I can get 5 pieces of wood finished and put
together by Satruday EOD with no additional help.

Hi - I've not been watching email but have had my phone on (869-3735) and been
working on it for the last couple hours
Here is where we stand:
- cleaned garage to a workable point
- routed base (two circles, plywood) - have Teflon feet in inventory
- cut uprights, trashed first set, have oak picked out for second set (see
below)
- have 4.5" formica bearings cut for verticle axis (pressure bearing with
locked nuts)
- went to Lowes for HW but forgot my wallet - need to return
To do:
- fix upright (recut, dowel, screw, and glue)
- paint base (have some spare)
- buy and install axis HW
- buy HW for scope to upright mount (to lock scope mounts in)
- verify the vertical pressure bearing works....
Now here is the rub - I'm heading to the Chinese lantern festival at 6:15, so
I'm scrubbing tonight too. I'll send pictures tomorrow AM. If anyone has time
to help this weekend, or special skills/knowledge on the horizontal axis mount,
please call.
