The Steelers pick Buddy Johnson, ILB, Texas A&M. Physical run stuffer, two down
ILB who can’t cover. Will probably stick for depth.

SUMMARY: A three-year starter at Texas A&M, Moore was the left tackle in
head coach Jimbo Fisher’s spread, pro-style scheme. Along with Carson Green
at right
tackle, the Aggies had the same starting tackle tandem in every game the
last three seasons and the Texas A&M coaches believe Moore’s improvements in
2020
make him the best pro prospect among their senior offensive linemen. Moore
has adequate foot quickness in his setup to mirror rushers off the edge and
push them
wide of the pocket. While he flashes strength in the run game, he can be
rocked on his heels in pass pro and needs to improve his base strength.
Overall, Moore
needs to be more forceful with his hands to avoid leaning on blocks, but he
moves well with body control and is an ascending talent to develop into a
reliable NFL
reserve at either tackle or guard.

In the parallel draft, I pick Rashad Weaver, DE Pittsburgh - too good to
pass up and will play in the rotation on passing downs
They picked Dan Moore, T, Texas A&M - Ascending player, but strictly backup
material. Does not play with power at all but has decent body control.
Carried round six grades. I expected as much, really, there really isn’t
much out there, yet they still have urgent needs to fill and needed to force
a pick at OT. Bad draft management, imo.

You look for value and strong depth at this point, the ship has sailed on
starters now, as I mentioned in the preview, this is a thin class and we
are rapidly approaching the guys who would be free agents in any other year.

Also, keep an eye on the Pitt guys too, they might look to some of these
defensive players to fill out depth too.
