I think Flores would have still taken the DC spot. He is likely appreciative of
Tomlin's help, but needs to get back out there and show why he was a HC in the
first place without being in MT's shadow.
Scott in Jersey
PS I do laugh at the current social media narrative that the Steelers should be
going after Bieniemy to fill in the not vacant spot. I do think he might be
open to an OC spot to prove he can run the show without Andy , but we don't
have one open right now ( sadly)

Do you think Flores would have taken that over a defensive coordinator position
ie is assistant head coach viewed more valuable by other teams?

John Mitchell retired as Assistant Head Coach today after 30 years with the
organisation. They can get someone useful in his place, without wishing to
sound critical of Mitchell, as I mentioned in a few places at the time, I kind
of wished he’d retired at the end of the season and Flores had been promoted
immediately in his place, but that wasn’t meant to be.
Now, go fill this job with someone with a high profile who can really be useful
to Tomlin.
