Thank you for inviting comments to this work. I believe the site is not
really ready for assessment by the public yet. I would refer the developers
to the WAI guidelines as there are many faults here that simply do not
follow the basic guidelines.
For example:
1. The pages lack structure. On the home page and the About page, Only
H1 is used even though the content seems to have sub sections within topic
titles. A prioritised sequence of headings would give a better idea of the
relative importance of each section.
2. Links to other web sites need "link text" to make it clear where
they are pointing. It is almost impossible to guess what agency or service
they link to where the link text is missing. The alt tag is meant to make
this easier.
3. The syntax of the English used is awkward and sometimes difficult to
understand. Could it be a literal translation from some other language such
as German?
I recommend that the developers try to bring the site closer to the
guidelines set out in ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) and then
call for observations from users when they feel they have done all they can
to comply.
I wonder if the claim to be the only repository of this information is
actually accurate?
