Hi all,
Just a reminder of the upcoming VICS annual general meeting and information
day which will take place on Saturday June 15th, kindly hosted by the NCBI
in their training centre on Whitworth Road, Dublin 9.
Proceedings will get under way around 11:00, with presentations on a range
of topics including the Climote (remote control for your central heating
system), the newly accessible Kindle ebook App for Apple devices, a
Kurzweil-style solution for Phones and tablets, and more.
Lunch will be available in the venue at a cost of just Eur3.50.
One-to-one technology demonstrations will take place in the afternoon,
followed by the VICS AGM. Rounding off the event will be a draw for a
special prise which will be announced on the day.
Anyone who wishes to bring along a device or a particular piece of
technology which may be of interest to the group is encouraged to do so.
There will be ample opportunity to talk about and / or provide
demonstrations as appropriate.
If you intend to come along, we would kindly ask that you pre-register in
advance, so as to enable us to plan for lunch.
Please drop a quick note to stuart.lawler@xxxxxxx before next Thursday to
confirm your attendance.

Hello all!
We are pleased to announce that the next VICS Information Day (including
AGM) will take place on Saturday June 15th, commencing 11 am.
It will take place in the NCBI Rehabilitation Training Centre on Whitworth
Road Drumcondra, Dublin 9.
A number of technical demonstrations and discussion fora are being arranged
by the committee for this event. A detailed agenda will be circulated closer
to the day. Lunch will be available on the premises.
Can you please:
1. Take a note of this date, June 15th, for your diary!
2.Submit in advance any motions that you would like discussed at the AGM
(see VICS constitution on www.vicsireland.org) 3. Give some thought to
volunteering for the VICS committee for the coming year.
4. Please pass this notice on to anyone you know, who may be interested in
the VICS information day and AGM, and is not on the VICS mailing list.
