Hi Paul,

From your own experience and of any of your friends who have iphones and ipads, do they use blue tooth keyboards for emails, documents etc or can they use the on screen keyboard with ease? these are all questions from a non user so enlighten me. I would have thought that having to carry an accessory like a keyboard for your iphone or ipad adds to the load when you go out on the town(you should see my pockets, I don't know if I could fit anymore!!!) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Paul Dromey" <pdromey@xxxxxx>

Hi Gerry.

I am guessing that your friend is not visually impaired and therefore will
not have set up the voiceover on/off toggle, which is a triple press of the
home key at the bottom centre of the ipad.

Therefore, you will need initial sighted help to turn Voiceover on or off.

1 Go into Settings.

2 Go into General

3 Go into Accessibility.

In here, the first button choice after the first heading, which is Vision,
Vision is Voiceover. In here, you can turn Voiceover on and off, also learn
and practise some of the gestures specific to Voiceover.

The description sounds more complicated than the actual accomplishment of
the task!

Good luck

Hi Ipad users,

A sighted friend is letting me look at his Ipad and can anyone give me the
quick launch and shut down keys for the ipad accessible voice or how I can
launch it and switch it off afterward. Thankss
