Dear All,
The May edition of our monthly technology podcast is now available from our
website ( http://www.ncbi.ie/technologypodcast),
our RSS feed (
http://www.ncbi.ie/technologypodcast.xml)
or to download directly at
http://www.ncbi.ie/sites/default/files/podcasts/podcast_may_2016.mp3
This month, In the first of two segments devoted to the social network Twitter,
and continuing from our chat with Amie Hynes Fitzpatrick on the April edition,
Stuart demonstrates how to use Twitter on a PC. We discuss some of the
available Twitter clients and show you one of them.
Rebecca Lenehan is a second year Biomedical Engineering student at the National
University of Ireland Galway, and, along with some of her classmates, she has
developed a very interesting variant of the long cane. Rebecca also has a
personal interest in this area, as you'll hear on the podcast.
Finally, we meet Maria Pileidi, who is totally blind and living in Dublin. We
find out a little about Maria and then discuss her use of the Android operating
system. You'll find out what Maria uses, as well as what she likes and doesn't
like about Android.
Regards,
Stuart
