Hi all,
I have continued to test NVDA with the UI Automation for Microsoft
Word turned on. This makes NVDA and Microsoft Word much faster.
However, I have come across a problem. It doesn't work with tracked
changes . This editor revisions feature is something that I use in a
work situation quite a lot.
I expect that NVDA will apply a fix for this in the near future, but
in the meantime, I will turn off the UI automation interface when I
need to use the track changes option.

Hi all,===========================================================
I have been experimenting with one of the experimental features in
NVDA recently to improve the responsiveness of NVDA with Microsoft
Word.
Under the Advanced Settings in NVDA you can turn on a feature to use
UI Automation to access Microsoft Word controls.
This definitely seems to speed up the responsiveness of Word/NVDA. I
am using Windows 10 with Office 365 with Word 2016 and NVDA 2019.3
One thing that I noticed is that some things are announced incorrectly
for example it says read only when in an editable Word document. This
was so annoying that I put an entry into the speech dictionary to
ignore "Read only". Otherwise, though, I see a big improvement in
speed of usage. Just wondering if anyone else has had a look at this
UI Automation feature.
Best regards,
Ronan
