Hi Paul! That's not my problem. The default folder for attachments is My Documents. I would like to be able to specify a folder on a server, rather than storing everything on C. It's a pain to have to navigate there all the time. It would be good if Outlook remembered the last folder you used, as Word does. I suppose there's no way of dealing with this in a rule? Of course I can have the actual mails moved to a standard folder, but attachments? Especially in office 2003 this is considered a security feature. If you are having problems accessing attachments you would have to get some kind of program that would plug-in to outlook and allow attachments that are otherwise blocked by outlook to come in so you could get them. Hi Ed, Here are the instructions for restoring a .pst file back into an installed version of Microsoft Outlook. I have used this procedure in both office XP and Office 2003. 1. we will assume you have the "outlook.pst file" stored in you're my Documents folder. 2. We will assume that you have just installed a copy of office onto you're machine. 3. You have now loaded up outlook for the first time and are in an empty "inbox" with no messages or contacts list available to you. This restoration process can of course be done at any time should you wish to. Begin restoring the PST file. 1. Open the file menu in Outlook. 2. Arrow down to "Import/Export" and press the enter key. 3. Choose the option to "import from a file" and tab to next. 4. Now on the next list choose to import "personal data file of type: .pst file" and tab to next. 5. Now on the next screen tab to where it asks for the location of the "outlook.pst file" and if you wish you can tab one extra to get to the "browse button so you can go in there and search for the "my documents folder" where the .pst file is stored 6. Once you have located the outlook.pst file tab to the open or ok button and then tab to "finish button". Now all data which was contained within that .pst file will be expanded into the new outlook inbox which you previously installed or whatever. Once it has completed this process you will be back in your inbox with all you're old and new messages and hopefully the contacts list which you had in the old backed up file. Hope this helps, Paul.
