Hi Monica, The thesaurus is a little tricky to use but try the instructions below. I personally use the "synonyms" in the context menu which is much easier and faster to use. Thesaurus: Place cursor in the word. Use the keystrokes Shift and F7. Press the F6 key. Tab a few times and you will hear the replacement words. When you hear the word you prefer just press the application key (third from spacebar to the right) and the first choice is Insert just press the Enter key. Now press F6 and you will be back in your document with the replacement new word Synonyms: Place cursor in the word. Press the application key. Down arrow to Synonyms and then right arrow to open up the sub menu. You now down arrow through the list of replacement words. Just enter on the one you prefer and the old word will be replaced with the new. Best of luck, Loretta. -----Original Message----- From: vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Monica Horace Sent: 20 January 2007 09:16 To: vicsireland@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [Spam] [vicsireland] using the thesaurus Hi All, I am new to windows xp and was in Microsoft office word and wanted to do spell check which I know is f7 but to use the thesaurus it is shift + f7 but my problem is how to get jaws to read the selection of words from the thesaurus Many Thanks Monica.
