Eamonn,
Real Alternative can do most of the things RealPlayer can do, and that
should include listening to RTÉ live streaming content. RA is less clunky
than RP, and, as such, might be regarded as being thus more accessible.
However, there are some file formats that RA cannot handle that RP can.

Hi folks,
I'm told that RealPlayer, can be used to download video from YouTube, and I
assume other sources.
I'm wondering if Real Alternative can be used for the same purpose?
Can Real Alternative be used to watch or listen to RTE content, or must you
use RealPlayer?
Is there still much of a difference in accessibility between both
programmes?
