Pat Ronan might be able to help you, as he has a Mac. There should be a hardware and sound section and you have to set up the mic in there. I got mine set up eventually, but as with so many things you get right in life, I don't know how I actually did it. I recommend simply giving yourself the time to play around with your computer and a solution will emerge. Also, at one stage my mic wasn't actually on...that explained quite a bit of it!
