Derbhile try going into tools/options and down to Audio settings. In there
there is a microphone combo box, set this to "windows default device",next
there is "let skype adjust my audio settings", check this box and then o.k. it.

Hope this is of help,

Learner Maureen.

Subject: [vicsireland] Skype microphone not working

  Jo

I'm having a problem with the new Skype microphone I bought. Basiclally, the
microphone doesn't seem to be connecting to the computer. My voice can't be
heard on the test call. I've tried changing the settings in Skype itself and on
hte computer. The computer does seem to recognise that the microphone is there.
Is it possible that the actual hole that the mic lead slips into is damaged?
