Hi All, I am very interested in the emails coming in on this topic! Three appears that it might be worth checking out along withClear wire! I was probably dreaming or something but I seem to remember something re Wireless where you could take a device from one area to another and then plug it in, presumably to the mains as opposed to a phone line! Could someone clarify this for me, it would be great! One monthly reasonablwe charge would be good avoiding a second for the second location! All the best, Tony Sweeney. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Darragh Ó Héiligh" <lists@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <vicsireland@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, July 02, 2007 1:15 PM Subject: [vicsireland] Re: [Spam] Re: Wireless Broadband > Hay Stuart, that's very interesting. > I had that vodafone service but I got rid of it. 1, the modem isn't > compatible with Vista and 2, the speed was absolutely terrible. > > Give Clear wire a shot, It's very easy to get up and running, it > doesn't need any software if you have a computer with a network card > and it has good coverage through out the country. > > I am not subscribed to it but I've borrowed my sisters modem / router > a few times and got reasonably adiquit results from it. > > It does need to be plugged in though. > > Hope that helps. > > On 02/07/07, Stuart Lawler <stuart.lawler@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > Hi folks, > > > > Just to add here, that mobile broadband, especially with Three Ireland, is > > now certainly a reality and not as expensive as you might think. > > > > I use Vodafone's flavour of that product for work when travelling, but I > > learned last week that Three offer twice the capacity and probably a far > > better speed for half the price! > > > > The Vodafone package is less than satisfactory. > > > > For more info on Three's broadband go to > > http://www.three.ie/on3/mobile_broadband.htm > > > > Regards, > > > > Stuart. > > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > > [mailto:vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Sandberg, Robert > > Sent: 02 July 2007 08:57 > > To: vicsireland@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > > Subject: [Spam] [vicsireland] Re: Wireless Broadband > > > > Hi folks! > > I would be interested in any info on what experiences people have made with > > different wireless broadband options.
