Hi Eamon,

What you received from Serotek was not a text, but a push notification,
probably because you have their app installed on your phone, and have granted
it permission to notify you of developments.

Regards,

Stuart.

Subject: [vicsireland] The return of the ring tone and other stories!

Hi folks,

Sabrina’s question about keyclicks, jogged my memory, and I realised perhaps
the reason I wasn’t hearing my phone is because it may be on
silent! I remember being told of a little switch on the upper left edge,
to switch between ringing and vibrate. I changed it, and all is now well.
Mind you, I don’t remember changing it in the first place!

Speaking of memory, you may recall I posed a question a couple of weeks back
about the possibility of downloads from Youtube! Well I did buy an album
from the iTunes Store, as my credit card statement confirmed.
As I’d registered sometime back, I’d forggotten.

And finally for Friday: I got a text when my phone was locked, on
Monday. It concerned a book by Mike Calvo of Serotek. When I went into my
messages though, there was no sign of the text. I’m not registered with them.

Is Serotek just for those within the US. I know they do regular podcasts, but
I’ve yet to check them out properly. Jamie Pauls, formerly the host of Main
Menu, is now presenting the Serotek podcast, called Sero Talk.

Regards and have a good weekend.

Eamonn
