Hi Brian,

I don't use audible on my pac mate, but you might want to send a mail to
one of the pac mate related email lists out there or search their archives.
You can find more details on the mailing lists at:

http://www.pacmategear.com/doc/UserCommunity

Cheers,

Tim

Thanks for your reply, Eamonn. Yes Audible.com is available outside the US.
It's a matter of fact it is accessed in Ireland via Audible.co.uk. Audible
use their own file management software and this protects them from users
sharing their files without permission. When listening to their books on a
portable player weather it be a Pac Mate, mobile phone or IPod, the portable
device has to be activated via the Audible software on your laptop or desk
top. Anyone else out there have any information re listening to Audible
books on the Pac Mate?

Regards,
Brian.

Hi Brian,

I'm afraid I can't help you as I have neither a Pac Mate nor an Audible
account.

I thought Audible was only for US citizens- but obviously not!

I'm just wondering if Audible uses the same "Overdrive" program, used to
access bbooks from South Dublin County Library?

I haven't used that service so far, though I am registered.

Regards,

Eamonn

Hi Everyone,

I wonder can anyone help me to set up Audible.com on my Pac Mate. I have
downloaded and installed the audible software on my Pac Mate, but when I
click on the Audible Player on the Pac Mate programs menu I get the message
?the loaded audio program could not be determined?. I have audible manager
working perfectly on my laptop, and the Pac Mate is set up to synchronize
with it. I would be very grateful for any information from someone who
successfully reads audible.com books on their Pac Mate.

Thanks and best wishes,
Brian
