[vicsireland] Re: problems with certain websites

It works through the wired connection.

I first thought the issue to be related to a bad MTU setting however now
believe this to be incorrect as a number ofdifferent settings had no effect.

I thought it could be the MTU because from the more specificerrors in Firefox
it shows that the http request is timing out.

If all else fails, I'll try wireshark and combe over the results.

I'm planning on updating the firmware on his router later. If indeed a
firmware upgrade exists.

Thanks for the suggestions. This problem is annoying me as much as it's
probably annoying Nicky at this stage.

Hi, Nicky,

Have you considered that the wireless router in your house might be the
problem?

I suggest you try attaching to the router using a cable and trying that.
It's worth a bash.

Take Care,

Gerry Ellis

If you don't know where you're going,
How will you know when you get there?
