Tony, 

Easyest way is to do something like this: 
1.  press windows key +  the letter r to start the run dialogue box. 
2.  type the word:
Msconfig
And press enter. 
3.  Press control, shift and tab twice so you hear: tartup tab. 
4.  Arrow down to the required process then uncheck it by using the space bar. 
5.  Arrow to ok and hit enter. 
6.  If you like press alt r to restart the machine with the applied changes.  
If you want to continue working, press escape. 

Doing it this way bypasses an option, if it exists to remove this service from 
start up within the Winamp program but there's no doubting that it will work.
